Consultation with Stakeholders and Clients
The National Advisory Committee meets three times a year and provides the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs with independent advice on the needs of the veteran community and ways in which these can be addressed through the VVCS.
Each VVCS region holds at least two Regional Consultative Forums annually to give key stakeholders an opportunity to meet with VVCS to discuss regional service delivery issues and community needs.
Outcomes from the Regional Consultative Forums are considered by the National Advisory Committee that provides the Minister of Veterans' Affairs with independent advice on the needs of the veteran community and ways in which these can be addressed through VVCS.
VVCS embraces a recovery-oriented approach to mental health service provision that recognises and builds on the lived experience of members of the veteran, ex-service and Defence community. The VVCS Clinical Policy is under final review and will be released shortly. Subscribe to the RSS feed to recieve updates on when this information is available.
