Based at HMAS Stirling in Western Australia, Australia’s Collins Class submarines have been tailored specifically for its defence and two-ocean surveillance role in the Royal Australian Navy.  Submariners work primarily in the close confines of a submarine, which can place unique demands on their mental health and wellbeing.

Free and confidential VVCS services are available to all current and former submariners.

If you are experiencing a mental health concern, such as depression, anxiety or PTSD, are struggling with anger control, unable to sleep, or are in need of support in your relationship with your partner or family, engaging with VVCS counselling or group programs can make a positive difference.
